Rules

2. Posts cannot be illegal or NSFW material.
3. No spam, self promotion, or upvote farming. Sources engaging in these behavior will be added to the Blacklist.
4. Non-whitelisted bots will be banned.
5. Engage respectfully: Harassment, flamebaiting, bad faith engagement, or agenda posting will result in your posts being removed. Excessive violations will result in temporary or permanent ban, depending on severity.
6. Memes are not allowed to be posts, but are allowed in the comments.
7. Posts from clickbait sources are heavily discouraged. Please de-clickbait titles if it needs to be submitted.
8. Submission statements of any length composed of your own thoughts inside the post text field are mandatory for any microblog posts, and are optional but recommended for article/image/video posts.

Yeah my phone is about 5 years old right now, and I'm wondering if I can keep it alive til 2027 so my next one can have a removable battery. My current one is not too hard to replace the battery (have to undo a lot of tiny screws and some double sided tape, but nowhere near as bad as an iphone). But it's the principle.

Good point, though the current version of that phone is quite expensive and the older versions were not very good. I'm not a power user, I just want a basic cheap phone with a headphone jack and replaceable battery, that I can keep using for a while. A phone powered by 18650's would be great. I do know about the Xcover and have stayed somewhat aware of it for when my current phone finally craps out.
@solrize yeah its a real pain in the ass finding ordinary useable phones that don't miss out on what used to be standard features😢
