Unfortunately, an appeal to the environment will never work with Smith's voter base. It needs to be framed by their concerns: business, economy, and costs.

Oil is becoming less profitable, and the longer they stay focused on it, they fall further behind the rest of the energy industry. They were poised to be leaders, but they're selling the future of their economy for a quick buck now.

Smith's voter base has no true issues, ideals, morals, or concerns. They have "I Vote Blue".

Honestly that's most voters, Smith's are just particularly loud and loyal.

Yup. Lots of them are pissed to find out the pipeline Trudeau bought for them cost a shit ton more than we were told it would, but they still balk at renewables.

Make it make sense already. sigh
