Video games are not mere time killers. They are albums of sound, aesthetics, animation and narrative.
This community is in appreciation of that. Screenshots, fanart, animations, gameplay clips. It is all welcome here.
The one common thread should be an eye for the aesthetic. This is not a place to discuss mechanics or stats, but to show off simply the artistic, expressed through the video game medium.
- All rules of the parent instance apply. That is, sopuli.xyz
- Include the name of the game your post is associated with in the post title.
- If your post is fanart, include a link to the artist in post body, if you can. You may also ping @[email protected] to have it attempt to find the source for you, and provide it in a comment.
- MARK ANY TEXT SPOILERS, as for art, do not post content that outright spoils key moments of a games narrative. Content that can only be understood with the context of having played the game, is ok.
- No generative AI art.

That image always bothered me. Is he holding a pistol sideways in his left hand?
Why the hell would you stand out in the open and fire your sidearms, when at least 1 (likely 2) planes are shooting at you with 3 machineguns each?
Yes.
He is dual wielding two different guns, aiming and firing them at different targets...
... while running quickly, turning in an arc, possibly zigzag style.
Does this make much sense?
In reality, fuck no.
In a video game?
Well he is the chosen one.
Also bonus factoid:
The attacking planes appear to be based off of an experimental WW2 era aircraft design the US had for a jet powered, parasite fighter, a small fighter plane carried by basically bombers, that would detach to fend off attacks, and then reattach to be flown home... these drawn ones are seemingly the 'grown up', non parasite versions of a similar style.
Behold, the XF 85 Goblin!

Aw, so close to us having a real life Protoss carrier.
When I first played Fallout 2, I was always wondering when I'd get to the point where planes would attack me.
Turns out, this dlc was published 25 years later and is region locked (Gaza, Ukraine)
This is one DLC I wish I never had to play while also being that one DLC that I will never forget (still playing it though).
Take care, lad
GenAI style before the era.
Sort of unique for the time considering the typical fantasy/sci-fi styles prevalent during the time.
