This is hilarious! ๐
I've seen a lot of of rather niche tycoon/simulator/management game (my favourite is a game called "Beat the Fed", a central bank simulator), but an HR employee simulator (especially an employee perspective with life sim elements) is rather novel.
I am so excited for this game! I went into the original Citizen Sleeper without any prior knowledge of the game, ended up finishing it in two (pretty long) sessions.
Some of the top comments (surprising considering there is a high likelihood CIG online content is heavily botted):
I'm on the side that allows me bring up my small vehicles through the freight elevators
Iโm on the side that lets me out of the hanger
I'm on the side that lets me fininsh a single mission in two hours play section.
If only the game looked and played like this lol..
Which faction has working hangars and inventory? Then I chose them.
Yeah, there are space whales in Before We Leave. Beyond These Stars is based on Before We Leave I believe.
I don't think it would be possible to make a tycoon/management game with an official Stargate license. The IP holders would want returns of such a size that would be unrealistic for the tycoon/management game genre. Although Two Point Studios have seen what seems like mainstream success.
Anyone tried this? I played a lot of Evil Genius back in the day and Stargate setting sounds appealing.
It feels like a complete bloodbath with the job situation in the gaming industry in the west.
The worst thing is none of the executives are getting fired (in a proper manner, no golden parachutes and clawbacks on any stock based compensation).
That's really too bad.
I got a steam game as a present and I get a black screen upon starting a session in the menu. I reported this to the devs (with older reports attached), but I didn't really get the impression they saw this as a priority.
Option #4 sounds most realistic.
The trailer looked nice, but I am more of Parkitect type person.
What I would really like is a modern remaster (not remake) of Theme Park World (Sim Theme Park in the US) that would largely keep the gameplay intact but include better textures / 3D models and compatibly for modern OSs/resolutions.
I think the real world implementation of "Kingdoms of Elyria" is Kingdoms Reborn. A multiplayer 4X/city-builder hybrid (although it works just fine in single player too).
