I just re-heard the "kitty litter for the furries" tale for the hundredth time (gotta be 5-6 years now, and EVERYONE can google!), yet here we are.
I'm not cishet, and after I got told by a "moderate conservative" (according to his own definition and his voting preferences, anyhow) acquaintance that he thinks the world would be a better place if gender minorities didn't exist, and that we're all pretending anyhow, I realized that my life is going to be better without any sort of contact with his kind. JFC. How do these people believe this when it's so easily disprovable! Just last month I put a mask on when I got to the airport for a 14 hour flight to Europe, and didn't take it off until I was waiting for my friend to pick me up at the other end of the journey. Also slept through half the flight with the mask on.

edit: Hilariously I didn't even realize until just now that he said carbon monoxide not carbon dioxide. What a moron.
I mean, his argument is technically right, you would die if the mask was completely hermetic, it just completely misses the point that masks aren't there to "contain your breath" but to catch particulates.
