Yeah the dev will. He always releases cores publicly when they are out of beta.

There could be a market, since there are probably people who could do the mod but don't want to deal with 0603 components. The biggest barrier is going to be competition with Modzville. He is very well known in the community and is developing the adapter board as the project continues. He'll most likely have them for sale at some point.

Also bought mine off AliExpress. It was one of the fake pokemon shell models, so that feels a little cheap but looks nice. Otherwise the unit functions perfectly, no scratches on the screen and buttons are responsive.

It's going to be pretty hard to properly clean the button without opening it up since there isn't a good way to get cleaner into them.

Well there are tons of 3d printed stands, as well as the classic nail polish stand. Lots of options out there.

Thanks! Found the stands here

Curious about what cartridge is inside the shell. Is it an emerald cart, bootleg, or flash cart?

[–] v1605 1 points 8 months ago

I saw someone posted that in BennVenn discord. He is apparently waiting for his FPGBC to come in to see if it's possible to fix via code.

Neat, good work!

Great video. His content is great, I just don't agree with his use of brasso to clean carts.

I would be willing to Mod.

With exception of the Mister, all consoles have either been modded or repaired. Bonus, everything is automated through Home Assistant so it will turn on the TV, switch inputs, and turn on the console, all via voiced controlled.

If you're unfamiliar, it loads games via the same port as the broadband adapter instead of a SD card. Some games will run better compared to SD cards due to how Swiss has to load games via the sd2sp2 adapter.

This is my cocktail for Thanksgiving this year. The N~2~ gives the drink a nice rich and creamy texture.

  • 16oz fresh cold brew concentrate
  • 16oz vodka
  • 12oz pumpkin spice cream liquor
  • 4oz kahlua

Combine in a Royal Brew 64oz Keg with 2 N~2~ cartridges

If you've been on the fence about getting an everdrive, 20% off makes one very appealing.

Pre-orders begin in December

After buying the Board, the case, membranes, and buttons, you're probably looking around $85 for a USB c rechargeable Gameboy with a ips screen. Not a bad value.

Cool twist for your Halloween party. Each plunger holds up to 2oz.

This was a challenging one, but in the end I got a work disc version PS5 for $250. The PS5 board soaks up a lot of heat, so getting the old one off was a challenge. Luckily on this one, the port itself was damaged and the pads were all good. I did it a snag by not heating the ground pins enough, which gave it just enough wiggle to have a pin come loose (should have set the iron to 450c to begin with). Also decided to replace the liquid metal while I was there. It's not necessary but the console was dirty enough that the extra heat oxidized the existing compound a lot.

You can find plenty of replacement ports all over the Internet and I used Thermal Grizzly liquid metal.

Dragon's Lair

Looks cool with 4k upscaling support. We'll have to see about price, since we have the Mister and the upcoming Mars to compare it to.

The system would not boot, it only falshed an orange light (aka Frag). The main issue was a broken trace that ran under a surface mount cap, followed by damaged pads on two capacitors (not sure if they where connected before or came off with heat). After fixing those the system worked fine. I removed the clock cap, did a full recap, added a Stellar modchip, added a 128mb ram upgrade (many sellers, example), added new fans (adapters here and here), and added a ssd (adapter and mount).
