That is entirely subjective but I would say some still prefer CRT and Analog video, which these retro consoles also provide. There are also some benefits for it like no lag and better graphics due to the natural blurring of the CRT but at the cost of space and screen size. CRTs are bulky.

You can even get better and new alternative retro consoles. As in consoles with HDMI out and upscalers that will run old games.
I found at least 2 cases where Gambling is the only Descriptor for the games and they have explicit gambling, like full on Black Jack, but are rated 12+.
On the other hand Balatro just uses card imagery and some mechanics but not directly transferable, as in, it's not poker. Its like making Rummy or other card games that use the standard poker deck 18+.

According to the Arch Wiki you need to place the .desktop file in:
~/.config/autostart/*****.desktop
You also need to add the following line to the .desktop file:
X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true
But that's probably the hard way to do it, I think the settings panel should also have a Startup Application tab.
What are you using as a Desktop Environment? Certain with DEs the Autostart programs need to be added in the config file.
Well you are talking about 2 different things.
Stalking: just following a person for your own personal benefit.
And Spying/Surveillance: following someone to share the information with another entity or government.
The person in question had several logs and such logs were communicated to the chinese government, they have proof of this, so such actions are criminal offenses.
But surveillance is illegal, especially in a targeted form. Let me put it like this, your address is public, as people can see when you get in and out of your house. But now someone goes and tells someone else, a criminal, your address with the intention to cause you damages. That person, the informant, becomes directly an accomplice, even if the person didn't do damage directly.
I will give it the benefit of the doubt. I just watched the trailers for GotG 1 and GotG 3, to compare them with this one and it is certainly less entertaining, but I still have hope, with reservations.

That is actually a pretty nefarious thing because it is targeted, as in spying. That's what is not legal.

In this case, there is an intent to have repercussions. I was wondering as well why Private Investigators are allowed to do this and in short, they are regulated so they have to work within the frame of law and should have a lawful purpose.

I do believe you but it's getting to the point that it's the same or not as cumbersome as Windows.
Of course, you already have Windows and you are used to the nuances so you stay with it. But the nuances are still there, you can't do anything about them and there are more every year.
For me, the worst part is that you (and I) paid for it, and if you go an complain they tell you to eat dicks. So, I switched long time ago but dual booted for gaming until Proton became a thing.
