High desert mountains are, or were, a great place to see the Milky Way. You had the mountains and the openness. It's been a few years or 20 for me, though. No idea if those places are still dark enough.

The power dynamic is already heavily skewed in favor of the employer. Especially with construction and landscaping work, the way it tends to go is: workers need the job. The company rules with a pretty strict hand. You don't like something, there's the door. So you put up with stuff until you find another job or can't take it anymore.
Take away a legal right, and that's that. The workers and the company both know who has the upper hand. Sure, one person could try to stick up for themselves here and there, but plenty of people don't because they're afraid to lose their job. And it usually doesn't change anything anyway. Even when there are laws to protect employees, companies don't always follow them.
I'm talking mostly about non-union jobs there. Union jobs are better, but they're not free of problems either.
Trying to put a bandaid on a gash, maybe. Also you can only use place on new Reddit or the official app. And you have to verify your email. So they could try to show off to investors that they have this many verified users, or this much increase in users even after the fiasco.
What do you like better about YMusic? I've been using NewPipe for a little while and it's OK, but it's kind of annoying that you can't sort by date or views. I usually end up searching Youtube and plugging the URL into Newpipe.

Yeah, it's Canadian. If you go to the homepage and click on the sidebar, you can see the description of the instance and the country where it's hosted. That works for any instance, I think.

I browse by all and new a lot. It's a good way to find interesting posts that get buried by the memes, but you also find a lot of NSFW stuff.

FWIW, "handy" in the sense of "handjob" isn't that common (U.S., over 25). I mostly hear it and use it in the sense of "useful, good to have or know." That's pretty handy, that could come in handy.
Plus, I can't imagine I would ever interpret Handy as a handjob if you pronounced it the German way (Hendy). I would just go "huh" because that doesn't register as a word in English. I've been told that the vowels in the German Handy and the English handy sound really similar to native German speakers. But as a native English speaker, they're worlds apart.

I use an exfoliating washcloth like this. It lathers really well. Scrubs off the dead skin and it's long so you can scratch your back. It air dries fast.
