This comment from ybominator sums this up IMO:

Threads like this are just rage bait.

  • Anyone claiming one OS is the "best" is often either incredibly misinformed, or intentionally trolling.

  • Use whatever OS does the job you need it to do, nobody cares. They're all great/suck/win/lose.

If you're interested in trying an app with no ads, I'm using Thunder and it's great. Cross platform for Android and iOS.

Cool article and write-up. But just $240!? This guys saved them a bundle - you’d think they’d at least pay a week of what they should have paid someone on their security team.

There are some areas in the US with unbelievable course density that I'm quite jealous of. But here in Canada there is certainly less course density where I live, but I have access to a few pretty great courses less than an hour away, and that course in PEI is only about 90 minutes away.

Probably Hillcrest Farm in PEI Canada. Amazing course.

There’s ads on YouTube?

/s but also…

Orion browser + uBlock Origin + SponsorBlock on iOS ReVanced on Android SmartTube on Android TV There are other options on each platform but these are just one set of examples.

Also, yes ads in general are the worst so Pi-Hole on your local network for the win.

Adblocking isn't a good reason to switch?!

From the blog:

This major release brings several new features, improvements, and bugfixes to improve your Jellyfin experience. With our faster release cadence between 10.9.0 and 10.10.0, this release should be far less daunting, so please read on for a quick peek at what's new and some important-to-know breaking changes!

You may upgrade your Jellyfin instances at any time now. For those who were running Unstable builds for testing, we thank you immensely, and you may now switch back to the Stable repository and forcibly reinstall/repull the latest version. As always, ensure you back up your Jellyfin data and configuration directories before upgrading. With a major release, it's possible you will hit a bug and want to revert, and to do so, you will need to restore from a backup.

Happy watching!
