I thought it was pretty self contained. I would have loved more, but at least it sits alone pretty well.

The line about yearning for the mines also made me laugh, but I didn't think there was anything else funny in the trailer. I don't understand the level of vitriol I see either, it just looks like a bad movie ¯\(ツ)

This is a new interpretation of the meme, you would know that if you read books

They tried with student loan debt and the courts blocked them at every turn. The courts are shaped to allow republican plans, because we have done these things in the past. Courts are more willing to reject things that haven't happened before.

This made me think about this issue in a new way, thanks for the good comment.

At least it was also funny. They gotta get paid somehow, and she tried to make it as fun as possible.

I really liked that game!

You make a good point. Since this was the most popular way of building wealth, the middle class was dependent on this. Since one of the strengths of any economy is buying power, and if a large number of consumers cut back because of a loss on their investments, that would hurt the economy.

I think I agree with your main point that it won't hurt the Chinese economy by a large degree because of how it is structured.

Unfortunately, the reason why these were built, and who funded them are different from your assumptions.

They were funded by private Chinese individuals as a way of investing. Because of the way that the Chinese economy works, there are not analogous investment opportunities as to the states. Since these are funded by private citizens, they are the ones that will lose their investment if the units aren't filled. If it was the state taking the loss, I would agree with you that it wouldn't matter.

While I also read the email as pragmatic, I don't read it as kind or loving. It reads like a letter written out of fear. I don't think your daughter should have to hide who she is to be safe, but I would also want your child to be safe.

I hope you can hold at least two truths about this letter in your head. It isn't right to expect LGBT people to hide who they are for safety. And also, a worried family member wants their family to be safe, even if they don't know the right way for that to happen.

I did not know this existed, but I'm going to watch it now!

I am currently playing through it, and it has some of the best moments gaming has to offer. You don't normally see such a specific voice in games narratives these days. I have been really enjoying it.
