This is why not protesting when a Dem is president never made sense.

trump won't care, so the last four years we should have been protesting Biden's inaction (on so many different issues) which would have at least got him to acknowledge the left and would have likely stopped Trump from winning

But Biden had a D by his name, so the screechers kept calling anyone that didn't agree with Biden 100% a Russian.

Biden felt no pressure from the left, which made him and Kamala move too far right and lose what should have been another incredibly easy election.

And like we saw at the inauguration, Biden doesn't even care, we're the ones that have to deal with consequences while Biden apparently goes into acting without a care in the world

Crazy how fast they move now...

It took years for them to decide if Biden had the power to do, well, anything as president.

Almost like them slow walking the entire Dem platform was intentional, and a major reason Dems lost 2024 as a result

Bibi can't control his "settlers" anymore than trump can control his "patriots".

If the US tries to say they own Gaza, the extremists in Israel won't hesitate to attack them because they legitimately and truly believe sky daddy said they could have it.

You think either of those groups/leaders know the meaning of the word "share"?

I mean shit, just look at what Bibi's people say about Christians:

However, Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel’s national security minister, who oversees the police, said in an interview with Army Radio that spitting at Christians was “not a criminal case” and that not everything “justifies an arrest”.

He said the incidents were “deserving of every condemnation” but urged people to “stop slandering Israel”.

The claim was echoed on Tuesday by Israeli settler Elisha Yered, who is suspected of involvement in the killing of a Palestinian teenager in August.

Yered said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “spitting near priests or churches is an ancient Jewish custom”.

"Perhaps under the influence of Western culture we have somewhat forgotten what Christianity is, but I think the millions of Jews who suffered in exile from the Crusades, the torture of the [Spanish] Inquisition, blood libels and mass pogroms – will never forget," he added.

That was 10/4/23, days before the attack.

They're not going to be ok with anyone besides Jewish Israelis living in Gaza

It's just so disappointing watching "moderates" side with literal trump supporters and falling for propaganda that makes them attack the very people they need for the Dem party to win elections.

The left can win without the middle, that's how Obama got elected to both his terms, but the middle can't win without the left.

All the middle shitting on the left does is help Republicans. But they just won't stop doing it. They'd honestly rather have a Republican over a progressive.

Ken Martin wasn't my first pick, but I'm still hopeful he'll steer the party in the right direction. Shits too important not to.

Over 20,000 employees have accepted, but unions argue the offer is coercive and legally dubious, filing a lawsuit to halt the February 6 deadline.

Virtually all of which were already set to retire....

The only scramble from the fork has been people recalling applications for retirement because they want to see if they'd really get 8 months pay free before retiring.

Even with this bullshit, I doubt February will break January's retirement numbers, a shit ton of people got out before trump even came back.

They'll continue to be empty suits with the illusion of power and actual wealth...

They're not gonna consider that a bad result. They don't want to govern let alone know how..

Don't act like all we need to do is sit back and wait and karma will do the hard work for us.

If it makes you feel any better, most of the people they're accusing voted D just like they always do...

Full statement:

The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous. And let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence — none — between Israel and Hamas. We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security.

The Biden administration has told key lawmakers it is sending a new package of more than $1 billion in arms and ammunition to Israel, three congressional aides said Tuesday.

It’s the first arms shipment to Israel to be announced by the administration since it put another arms transfer — consisting of 3,500 bombs — on hold this month. The administration has said it paused that earlier transfer to keep Israel from using the bombs in its growing offensive in the crowded southern Gaza city of Rafah.

"But the Trumpian part is that even though, or perhaps because, it may be part of a Trump scam, Knight now too may be on the hook for $175 million as it won't automatically get out from underneath its own proffered surety."

Hankey, a billionaire, has already said that his company will be able to post the money for Trump.

He was reacting to a comment on X by lawyer Dave Kingman, who wrote that Knight will not be able to post the $175 million.

"Understand that Knight Specialty has a problem. This bond cannot be approved. Under the CPLR [Civil Practice Laws and Rules] the surety will remain obligated under the bond until a replacement bond is filed. Trump is unlikely to get a replacement bond. Knight Spec will be liable AND Trump won't have a stay [on enforcement]," he wrote.

The bond Trump is posting with the court now is essentially a placeholder, meant to guarantee payment if the judgment is upheld. If that happens, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee will have to pay the state the whole sum, which grows with daily interest.

If Trump wins, he won’t have to pay the state anything and will get back the money he has put up now.

Not sure if anyone can help, but there's a user I've tried to block I don't know how many times now, but I still see their comments and they reply to one of mine about once a week. Not just a single reply, they tend to reply to multiple comments each time they do it if I don't respond.

Which is really annoying because unusually don't pay attention to usernames.

Obviously the first thing I tried was unblocking and blocking again, but it never sticks

Not sure if it's related, but whether I have them as blocked or not, their profile always show 0 comments/posts.

Also they're from kbin if that matters.

Is this just a glitch? Any known ways to actually block that account?

The stark question was posed to Trump’s attorney John Sauer by Judge Florence Pan: Was a president immune from prosecution for any unlawful act, at all? Could a president order his political rivals to be assassinated by Seal Team 6 as an official act? Could he sell pardons at his pleasure if he saw fit and then face no consequences for his actions?

“He would have to be impeached and convicted first,” Sauer replied,

The poll found 50% of Democrats approve of how Biden has navigated the conflict while 46% disapprove — and the two groups diverge substantially in their views of U.S. support for Israel. Biden’s support on the issue among Democrats is down slightly from August, as an AP-NORC poll conducted then found that 57% of Democrats approved of his handling of the conflict and 40% disapproved.

Judge Newman has threatened to have staff arrested, forcibly removed from the building, and fired. She accused staff of trickery, deceit, acting as her adversary, stealing her computer, stealing her files, and depriving her of secretarial support. Staff have described Judge Newman in their interactions with her as “aggressive, angry, combative, and intimidating”; “bizarre and unnecessarily hostile”; making “personal accusations”; “agitated, belligerent, and demonstratively angry”; and “ranting, rambling, and paranoid.” Indeed, interactions with Judge Newman have become so dysfunctional that the Clerk of the Court has advised staff to avoid interacting with her in person or, when they must, to bring a co-worker with them.
