There are really simple and good bread recipes that take almost no hands on time. Check out the 5 minute artisan bread recipes. It forever changed the way I bake. I have a bread machine and I haven't used it in years because these recipes are better and a trivial amount of extra work.

They're great stories with some interesting sci-fi ideas tossed in here and there. Her Chalion series is fantastic too.

An easy option is VaultWarden. Pretty painless to host AND it'll store your passwords. There are probably better dedicated tools, but it's functionality is pretty solid.

Slackware around 96. I downloaded it from a local BBS over a 28.8 modem. It took forever. I don't recall how many floppies it took, but it was a good stack. I got it installed, then realized it was in Portuguese. I did not know Portuguese at the time. So I got a crash course in Linux and Portuguese at the same time learning how to reconfigure the language settings. It was a fun time.

Here is my WIP Sanguinor. I went a little heavy handed with the silver highlights, but it still looks good at table distance. The shade of the parchment feels like it bumps with the gold a bit, so I might dry brush it a little lighter. Overall pretty happy with the progress.

I never used their app, but I have a Yi camera. There are several open source firmwares for them that provide many more features than stock. I feed my cameras into Frigate, which isn't particularly simple to configure, but gives you a great open source DVR.

I don't really like the Yi camera actually. I've had much better luck with Amcrest.

I haven't used it, but agendav - https://github.com/agendav/agendav looks like it might be what you're looking for. There are similar projects for iCal format, which many calendar apps can emit as well.

I love all strava's social elements, but it has just gotten worse and worse over time. We really need a federated alternative. I've been toying with concepts for a while, even made a bridge from Garmin to mastodon API, but the long term concern for me is that Garmin seems to be picky with official API access so it would be difficult for individual servers to import data from there or other sources.

I dunno about PHP Storm, but I've used pretty much all their other IDEs and they're hands down better than their competitors. I wish they had picked better names for Data Grip and Data Spell though. I can never keep track of which is which.

I generally agree, but its difficult to say what kind of vulnerabilities may lie in wait due to outdated dependencies. Heliboard seems to be the successor, also does not have network access, and is more regularly updated. Whatever satisfies your threat model though.

If it's working for you then great, but that hasn't been updated in over 2 years. For something that all my input is filtered through I'd like something better maintained.

I've been using it on my gaming rig/dev workstation for nearly a year and its been great. Games work great. I had some issues with printer drivers, and with some dev tools. I hadn't used a fedora-based system in years so many of my issues likely stemmed from that. Editors seem to be confused by the home symlink, especially IntelliJ et al.

Overall I'd highly recommend it. Someone mentioned slow boot, but that hasn't been my experience. It boots within a few seconds.

Thank you for that! Wicked

I'm in the process of degoogling and I'm stuck trying to find a reasonable alternative to Chromecast. It would be great if I could stream music/video from my phone to my TV from apps like RiMusic, Tidal, and NewPipe. Are there any good solutions? Even better if friends and family can use it with minimal additional setup.

I just finished this guy up. He's mostly wearing contrast paints. His cloak is Baal Red Contrast followed by a wash of 1:1 Blood Angels Contrast and Contrast medium. I can't wait to get him on the table!

It's not my finest work, but I'm just getting back into the hobby after taking a 4 year hiatus. I'm pretty stoked to just finish some models again.
