That sucks 😭 did you salvage anything?

I'm making Bizzle's Sticky Wieners, which I'm sure already have a name but holy cow I couldn't pass up that joke. It's lil smokies wrapped in bacon and topped with brown sugar, then baked. It's pretty decadent though so I only make them for thanksgiving, I've been looking forward to it all year.

Rent has actually been going down in my area for the last few years, and they pay me enough that I can do stuff for like the elderly or the impoverished for drastically reduced rates. So I'm good with it.

Leave it to lemmings to make even Robin Hood-ing landlords into something bad 😂

[–] bizzle 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If you can do stuff, literally just on the Thumbtack app lmfao landlords get on there when they need repairs done, so I do them and they pay whatever I want. I fleeced landlords to the tune of like $2000 last week, only worked 3 days.

Then when I get honest hardworking customers, I cut them a break. The landlords subsidize the regular people.

I started my own business where I get to take advantage of landlords 🥲 it's pretty much my dream

Imagine being so bad at business that you bankrupt a casino 3 times in a row

Don't fuck with me about David Bowie 😭

In my opinion I don't think that's the right solution. I think cannabis is closer to coffee.

The two in the back are Afghan from Grower's Choice, the three in the front are Black Widow from ILGM. The Afghans are about a week older than the Widows. I'm probably flipping on Saturday but I might give it another week or even two, what do you think?

My primary instance is lemmy.world. I get an error that says "not logged in to Lemmy.ml" but why would that even matter? I can do it on Jerboa which is the only other app I've used. Any ideas?

I'm a medical patient for chronic pain in my leg and it's really the only thing that helps. But truthfully I'd be a pot head anyway 😂

Once upon a time in the heartland of America, where amber waves of grain stretched as far as the eye could see, there lived a remarkable man named Marijuana Plant Johnson. Born with a love for nature and a spirit of rebellion, Marijuana Plant Johnson became a legendary figure who left a trail of cannabis plants wherever he went.

In those days, the laws of the land deemed the cultivation of marijuana as a grave offense. But Marijuana Plant Johnson saw the injustice in it. He believed that the earth should be free and that the people had a right to choose what they cultivated. So, he set out on a mission to scatter marijuana seeds across the Midwest, like a modern-day Johnny Appleseed.

With a sack slung over his shoulder and a smile on his face, Marijuana Plant Johnson traveled from town to town, spreading his gift of freedom. He would walk along the dusty roads, singing songs and telling stories of the healing powers of the cannabis plant. Wherever he went, people would gather around, their hearts filled with hope.

One sunny morning, Marijuana Plant Johnson arrived in a small farming community called Greenleaf. The townsfolk, curious about this wandering man, welcomed him with open arms. They listened intently to his stories, realizing the wisdom behind his mission. Inspired by his words, they offered him a plot of land where he could plant his precious seeds.

Marijuana Plant Johnson's fingers danced through the rich soil as he scattered the tiny seeds, like promises of a brighter future. The townsfolk watched in awe, their excitement growing with each seed that fell. They vowed to tend to the plants, nurturing them with care and respect.

As the seasons passed, Greenleaf transformed into a haven of green. The cannabis plants grew tall and proud, their leaves glistening under the warm sun. The townspeople discovered the benefits of the plant firsthand, using it for medicine, relaxation, and even creativity. Their lives were enriched, and they thanked Marijuana Plant Johnson for the gift he had bestowed upon them.

News of Marijuana Plant Johnson's crusade spread far and wide. People from neighboring towns, tired of the unjust laws, flocked to Greenleaf, hoping to learn from the wise man and plant their own seeds of change. A vibrant community emerged, united by their belief in personal freedom and the healing power of the earth.

Word of this extraordinary place reached the ears of the authorities, who were determined to stamp out this rebellion against their laws. They descended upon Greenleaf, ready to enforce their will. But when they arrived, they were met with something unexpected.

The people of Greenleaf, fueled by their newfound unity, stood tall and proud. They shared their stories, their knowledge, and their passion. They peacefully voiced their dissent, calling for a change in the laws that had oppressed them for far too long.

Moved by the courage and determination of the people, the authorities couldn't help but see the error of their ways. They realized that the power of nature and the will of the people could not be suppressed. With a newfound respect for the plant and its potential, the laws were eventually reformed, allowing for the responsible cultivation of cannabis.

And so, Marijuana Plant Johnson's legacy lived on, not only in Greenleaf but throughout the entire Midwest. His tale became woven into the fabric of American folklore, a reminder of the power of one person's dedication to justice and the ability of a plant to bring communities together.

To this day, as the sun sets over the rolling hills of the Midwest, you can still catch a glimpse of Marijuana Plant Johnson's spirit. In the gentle sway of the cannabis plants and the whispers of the wind, his message echoes: "Nature's gifts should be cherished, and freedom is worth fighting for."

I know that's pretty topical right now.

When I'm done with it I'm going to check on my plants. I've been fighting pests and deficiencies this whole time but I think I'm winning, I just top dressed some bone meal and I did peroxide and nematodes over the last week and I didn't see anything moving last night. Anybody know if microgrowery has been brought to the Fediverse yet?
