I always see his exact photo when i see this posted. Im pretty convinced that this isnt actually how kids are dressed, otherwise the photo would once in a while be changed up

I met my wife through PoF, but this is exactly how Id describe dating apps. They are so designed to keep you checking the app constantly, pay for premium features and feel awful about yourself. In my situation it really was the only way I could meet anyone (was in my rotations of grad school, working 12 hour days), but the apps were like measurably depressing me

I havent seen anything confirming its coming to PC?

And for us on the otherside, we see people bundled up like their going on an Artic expedition when its 50F out and they are walking 10 feet from their heated car to a heated store.

Being sweaty all the time sucks. Thats really what it is

Not a bad idea, but the issue again is i now have two separate filter lists, so then i run into issues where communities i want filtered on both, arent filtered. So lets say i seutup what you said, then all the sudden 5 keeping up wih the Kardashians communities really take off. I would need to block them all on one, and remember all 5 and switch to the other filter list and do the same. I know this all may seem trivial, but thats a simple example. I can think of a few reasons why having interchangeable or combinable filterlists would be really useful

Yea maybe thats what i should do is utilize my subscribe a bit wiser

[–] TheAmishMan 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I guess the big thing is i want to do it on mass, like turn all the news on and off

[–] TheAmishMan 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This, but primarily when someone is confounded by the idea that im not into sports. Ive had this happen with a few things, but sports are one of the weireder ones. I mean to the point of them going, nah you like sports, then continuing ro go on a rant about sone game.like i know im into a lot of stuff others arent, but if they sont want to talk about it, thats perfectly fine

Did the exact same thing with the quest 2. Two weeks after getting mine they announced the quest 3. Had to wait a few months, but glad i did

Yep sorry for the oversight. Was using stomach moreso just referring to the digestive process, but you are certainly correct

[–] TheAmishMan 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

This is the real difference.

One is an allergy hypersensitivity that triggers the release of histamine that (in this scenario) closes the throat and causes the person to die.

The other is a lack of an enzyme in the stomach to break down a specific component, so instead bacteria break it down. When they break it down, gas is released, which causes the stomach to be irritated.

So one is your throat literally trying to kill you, vs your stomach being irritated (possibly very bad). Not downplaying lactose intolerance, but its not the same as a type 1 hypersensitivity

Edit - as pointed out, most the stuff for lactose intolerance happens in the intestines not the stomach

Yea i love futurama, but this latest season is just weird. The Dune episode was terrible. Im continuing to watch i as its a good background show while im at lunch at work, but I was surprised by how much I didnt like it. Was trying to figure out if pissibly it was related to the writers strike, because of how poor some of the jokes and references are

These were always my favorite back in day, like a quick I Spy

This was a post that was a response to the weekly prompt from /c/Mapmaking . Here was the prompt:

This Week’s Prompt: A sprawling, labyrinthine library in an ancient, arcane tower.

Envision an arcane tower, nestled away from the prying eyes of the world. Within its lofty confines lies a labyrinthine library, stretching across floors and disappearing into shadowy corners. The air thrums with the silent whispers of countless tomes. What mysteries do these dusty pages hold? What encounters could one stumble upon in this maze of knowledge?

Trying to work more with dungeon alchemist, trying to get better about getting maps that are usable fast as possible rather than getting stuck on nitty gritty details. Also just trying to learn how to use it more. The cinematic tool is pretty cool, I wish I could change the skybox up though.

*Discover the enchantment of the forgotten Enchanted Oasis, a hidden gem within the crumbling walls of an ancient castle. Within its square borders, an overgrown garden reveals itself, once a vibrant display of cultivated beauty, now a sanctuary for wild plants and untamed flora. At the center, a fountain stands as a solitary sentinel, its waters long still, yet its intricate carvings still radiating the echoes of forgotten tales.

As you explore the leafy corridors of this abandoned garden, listen closely to the whispers of the wind. What secrets lie dormant amidst the tangled foliage? The remnants of battles and encounters past linger in the air, waiting to be unraveled by those brave enough to venture forth.*

This map was made in response to the Weekly Community Prompt over on /c/MapMaking. We do weekly mapmaking prompts over there, so come check it out!

This was made using Dungeon Alchemist, which Im still getting used to. Its a drastically faster mapmaking tool, so trying to improve my skills with it so I can make maps faster on the fly.

My semi minimalist background. The sidebar expands to actually show quite a few apps, I use a bunch of apps on a daily basis so I couldn't really settle with just five or six that most means have, so when it's expanded out I can see quite a bit of information it's a lot faster than looking through my app drawer which hasn't even more apps but aren't ones that I use on a daily basis. Similar to my previous post but changed up the background and have been updating a few of the apps recently.

As the title says, an option to just show NSFW posts only. I don't think it needs a ton more explanation than that

Happy map-making, everyone!

I'm seeing the same post from the same user posted in the same community but it seems to be delivered from multiple instances. I have the show all option turned off. Can't figure out why I'm seeing multiple, a good example is when you sort by top of day and you'll see a lot of duplicate post grouped together.

Edit- turning off the see all seems like it essentially forces it to local only, which sorta fixes it, but that's not what I want. On Jerboa for example, I can filter by all (multi instances), and only see one example of each post power community

Edit 2 - so it's something to do with using the 'see all' from multiple instances, even ones your not part of. The problem is it's don't the duplicating there, but seems to be for the same community, but something is of in the parity. For now I'm just using [email protected] and that seems to be better for now

Love the interface so far, but I can't find the inbox to see people replying to my posts and comments or direct messages. Am I missing something?

As title says, Id like to be able to click on my profile icon abd see my post history and communities I moderate. That's how it functions with Jerboa, and makes looking at my posts and communities a lot easier

As the title says, I can't change from All+Hot. I at best can go to specific communities, but can't filter to only subscribed or local (i really don't understand who wants local only, but whatever). On version 0.0.36 on Android

Under settings, for my profile it has it set to All+Active, and will not keep any changes saved. I can hit the save button, and the settings won't save it i back out of that settings section and come back

--Update So if I go under settings and change the default filtering, save, THEN force close, THEN it updates to my preferred filtering. But if I want to change it again, then I have to go to settings and force close
