Whether there is something wrong with doing that is a matter of ethics and personal values…

Regardless of those, it’s profoundly stupid to taunt Nintendo with confessions of piracy and threats to commit more

Good for them for asserting their autonomy but basically the end affect is the opening plot of Idiocracy

Does Apple serve ads? Not that I am aware of. I suppose their podcast player supports podcasts that have dynamic ad breaks but I honestly have no idea whether Apple is the one selling that ad space or the platform hosting the podcast is.

2 jobs for everyone! (We’ll need them after tariffs increase the cost of goods)

You will use vim and like it. 40 lashes if you have to look up what the hot keys are

Just get the confusing branding over with and call it “Intelligence for Windows Live Business Premium”

I had the original 2019 Motorola razr. I treated it like a precious heirloom. The screen started to have pixels die and the touch digitizer went out after 6 months. Kept it in a case and never dropped it.

I think there are a wide range of outcomes based on the manufacturing process but my experience has soured me on foldables. I’d rather use a mini phone instead. But it seems like the mini phone niche is just as small as the clamshell foldable one so I may have no choice at some point

Is a p2p system for media with the instances just hosting magnet links too slow for fediverse purposes? To me this seems like the most resilient way to handle media in a decentralized system

A live service game failing isn’t newsworthy. It’s newsworthy when one isn’t completely terrible

Looking at these lineups, looks like you had a pretty good Sunday. What was the final score?

After 6 months VC money demands they move on into live service and other ways to screw their audiences

We already had the hall of fame game where we saw Brett Rypien and Collin Johnson ball out. Now we have the full week 1 slate starting tonight.

Some games of interest for me-

Panthers - Patriots to see how Maye does and how their WR room shakes out.

Texans - Steelers to see how Fields does and whether he is a stash to see if he can beat out Russ sooner rather than later

What games are you interested in watching this week. About a month left until Week 1 is here!

Full Preseason Schedule-

W1

A really good explanation that I felt deserved to be highlighted.

Afterplay.io now has retroachievements support!

Afterplay.io is a web-based retro gaming emulator with support for SNES, GB, GBC and GBA (Premium includes support for even more consoles including N64, PS1, and DS).

The latest update just added retroacheivements support. As far as I know, it’s the only emulator that supports them on iOS that doesn’t require sideloading.

I’m looking for a recommendation for making gifs on iOS. Preferably one that lets you add text and with the option to remove the watermark with a one time purchase instead of a subscription.

Does this community have any advice? I tried a bunch on the App Store but there’s literally dozens and most of them either don’t let you add text or have like a $20 a minute subscription or obnoxious ads with no option to remove

NFL DRAFT MEGATHREAD (self.fantasyfootball)

The draft starts tonight. Some pretty good WRs and QBs in this draft and trades to be made that will shake up things in fantasy for sure

I know that the source is more focused on retro gaming as a topic but the topic of this post is Google and its pagerank algorithm which is more appropriate for this community.

We’ve all noticed the enshittification of Google Search over the last few months, but it’s still hard to hear how it is affecting content creators and putting them out of business so we can see 20 AI generated spam pages about whatever our query is.

Bills trade Stefon Diggs to Texans

The Stefon Diggs era is over in Buffalo, as the receiver is headed to Houston in exchange for draft picks.
