I'm not saying it's exactly the same, but I've heard of American kindergarten teachers being told to take down the color learning rainbow decor which were NOT pride flags because bigoted parents threw a huge fit about the gay decorations. I've seen unironic videos of people claiming any decor featuring a rainbow in a classroom is LGBTQ indoctrination. And they were pointing at cartoon depictions of the sky, like with smiling clouds and suns.

I suppose it would be cheap and effective to use the bird's superior wing?
I fully quit Reddit in June when Sync couldn't access Reddit anymore. I sometimes miss aspects of it. I'm trying to do things in the real world more. I'm on Lemmy a few times a week. For a while I was on Lemmy every day, but the content didn't keep up with my consumption. I do like the content better, but there's less of it. I'm trying to replace these things with better habits. I spend time online looking for local events and looking up tutorials on YouTube (NewPipe). I'm actually trying to do those events and follow those tutorials. The less content I take in, the better I feel. Trying to develop real world ambitions. It's a little tricky.
I understand this is a joke but I also want to point out that food allergies are different from food intolerances. My kid has food allergies and can't eat certain foods or he could die, my spouse has lactose intolerance and sometimes eats a bunch of ice cream and has diarrhea. Lactose intolerance isn't life threatening as long as you're not expected to survive on milk alone. She's also fructose intolerant and was just eating plain marshmallows. Then complains about her stomach. Humans are funny.
53% expressed "some hesitancy." That does not mean they are anti vaccine. My vet said under almost no circumstances should we get the lepto vaccine, because it isn't very effective and has a high reaction rate, but definitely get every other vaccine. That might count as "some hesitancy."
It's good to keep in mind, but I mean do you sit there through 1-3 minute ads not skipping forward? I don't watch much television, I mostly watch YouTube. So I watch a lot of it. What good is watching an ad going to do if I'm never going to buy anything from them? Once or twice, I've needed or wanted a product or service I thought might be promoted on YouTube, I went and looked for a creator to get a link/code from. But I think I did that two times in the past 9 years of being an avid YouTube watcher, and those times I was not buying the product due to ads, just thought I'd support a creator since I was going to make a purchase. I don't have sponsor block (I use NewPipe and I don't feel like learning a new app), but I just skip all the ads by tapping the skip button a bunch. They're often 2 full minutes.
I'm sure they didn't really "make" as in "force" him too, but I can see him showing up, not realizing it would be with children, and them just instructing the winners to stand for a photo. He could have objected, but what would he say? It would be hard not to have objections come off as "I'm out of their league," like it might make the children feel bad.
I homeschool my kid (properly) for medical reasons, and I did not realize until I tried going to homeschool events how messed up the culture is. I'm in a purple state. It's so hard to find anyone who homeschools who isn't bigoted. There are a few, and I'm trying to cultivate relationships with them, but it's difficult when they're so few and far between. My county is liberal, but the city in the next county over would be a better fit if we could move or regularly travel an hour away. I don't want my kid around these bigoted parents. He has good friends who are in public school, but my kid is too young to go to school with his multiple medical conditions (especially considering I've personally seen these schools neglect medically fragile kids), so he mostly only gets to see his friends on the weekends.
That's an offensive skeleton stereotype.
To my knowledge it doesn't have that, but the suggested videos are pretty good. Like if I'm watching a science video, it will suggest other science videos. Otherwise I'm just subscribed to a few hundred channels and I mostly use the latest releases tab (not sure what it's officially called but it shows everything put out by your subscriptions every time you refresh it).
Newpipe is still working great, I haven't used an official interface in like 3 years.
I've been saying this for a long time. I genuinely think this would yield better results.
