When should something no longer be considered a spoiler? In general use your best judgement. If want something more specific,
- For films, wait until it's been released to streaming for at least a few weeks.
- For TV shows, consider the whole season as a spoiler until the last episode of the season has aired, then wait a few weeks.

If death isn’t real, what’s the point of the movies?
If you know the character can come back at any point, it makes the story less impactful.
Look at “somehow he returned” for palpatine. Sure, it was hamfisted example at best, but it cheapened all of the previous movies.
What was the point of anakin sacrificing himself if palpatine returns?
What’s the point of these characters, their stories, their lives, and their deaths if they are meaningless?
Stories don’t need happy endings
Yes, "somehow Palpatine returned" was a terrible plot line. The rest of the Star Wars canon is adding things to try and fix it.
If a character just reappears with no context or consequences, that's terrible.
That just isn't what's been happening. People make up stories saying "Oh it could happen" without looking at the reality of the actual media where it didn't happen and isn't happening. If a character returns it matters. It has context. It has consequences.
