Capri Sun and mushy peas, easy

Fuck you, Nintendo. You used to be cool.

Nintendo have always been like this, even as far back as the NES days. They were super protective over who was allowed to make and sell cartridges, and repeatedly filed lawsuits against companies making unlicensed carts.

They’ve always been ultra-protective over their IP and hardware, and will happily sue fan projects and emulation into oblivion any chance they get.

Those are exactly the fees they’re removing in the uk:

On Tuesday, eBay said its move, which has taken effect immediately, meant private sellers would no longer pay so-called final value fees or regulatory operating fees when they sold on the site.

Nothing to do with Half Life besides someone there being a fan:

As many of you correctly assessed, we're actually a real company in the Boston area. We're working hard to assure and secure vaccine and other biological manufacturing production. As much as we would be honored to be part of any Valve game - we do not work in this sector at all. We are not secretly working on Half Life 3, Project White Sands (whatever that is/may be) or any other Valve title - we're just nerds working to secure the global bioeconomy.

Bad summary - the full list of games now supporting analogue controls is:

  • Worms Armageddon (Worms Collection 1)
  • Speedball 2100 (The Bitmap Brothers Collection 1)

  • Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes (Duke Nukem Collection 2)
  • Duke Nukem: Time to Kill (Duke Nukem Collection 2)
  • Glover (Piko Interactive Collection 4)
  • Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft (Tomb Raider Collection 1)
  • Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Legacy of Kain Collection)

I've restricted the repository to prior contributors, and if they have any concerns, they are more than welcome to do so here. If this turns into harassment, then I'll just shut the whole thing down, because I'm way too busy with my actual job to be dealing with unsubstantiated drama from a hobby that is supposed to be fun.

This is how projects die. Duckstation had a good run at the top, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it dethroned if it becomes a dramafest with bizarre restrictions on forks and distribution.

I just want to know what you people are doing to your fast food over in America that is giving people diarrhoea so reliably. Every time I hear people from the US talk about places like Taco Bell, someone inevitably mentions its catastrophic effect on their stomach.

Why is that accepted as normal?!

We have Taco Bell in the UK too and it’s… fine? I eat out or order food at least once a week and I could count on one hand the number of times I’ve EVER had food poisoning, but apparently over in America it’s basically guaranteed?? What in the absolute fuck is going on over there?

Companies patent dumb ideas all the time with no real intention to develop them. No harm in mocking them for it, but I wouldn’t be ringing alarm bells unless they actually start implementing it in their vehicles.

Additional fines and, if necessary, sanctions. If you refuse to pay a fine imposed by the EU then guess what? You can’t do business in the EU any more.

So do you think this research is invalid, or are you just being snarky for the sake of it?

I have a lot of fond nostalgia for A Final Unity, but the two TOS point & click games are way better designed. Plus they’re far easier to get hold of, since they’re sold on GOG while Final Unity isn’t available digitally anywhere.

That said, Final Unity is still good and if you prefer TNG then find a way to play that!

There's a little globe icon added in the bottom-right corner of external links, so you know that tapping the thumbnail will open a link rather than an image preview, but in its current form it's hard to see against darker thumbnails.

The posts I've highlighted with arrows in the image are both links, but it's almost impossible to tell.

Taken at Eynsford Castle, stand developed in Adonal.

Haven't tried it yet, but looks like a nice GBC platformer with a character-switch mechanic!
