Lockdown was a blast! I was paid to do what I always wanted; stay home and do whatever I felt like and not worry about other people.

Now that it's over, I haven't been able to keep a steady job. I've lost all the support I built up for myself in social situations.

Ubuntu for my servers, and Linux Mint for my Workstation.

I grew up using Debian-based distros, so it's what I'm comfortable with. I like how Mint seems to "just work" most of the time, especially with samba shares and usb peripherals.

Ubuntu server is primarily because it's incredibly easy to get support when you need it.

My god that might just work, I've used RS Toolkit a bunch and forgot it had that feature!

I've had the MSN message sound as my SMS Ringer for years now. The looks I get from people are fantastic.

Yeah I figured this was the case. Ah well!

Holy hell how many times are you going to post this? Three different communities by my count so far. Stop clogging up the frontpage.

This is what they've done since day one.

Isn't this the exact reason GOG was founded in the first place? How is this new?

edit: to be clear, I'm fully in support of this. I've just been under the assumption they've always done this.

Put the shaders .zip file into the /shaderpacks folder, and make sure you have the Iris .jar in the /mods folder alongside BetterF3.

In the future I strongly recommend using a launcher with built-in mod support. Prism is my go-to.

You're still better off with something from 8Bit-do at that price. If they included trackpads and vibration it would've been a nice Steam Controller v2.

Then why does the link to download the client lead to the MS Store instead of Github?

I'll never get tired of this. Lyle makes it look too damned easy.

One of my Professors shared this with me today, and I thought that some of you would appreciate this.

Chronic Depression (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I was recently diagnosed with Chornic Depression, and one of the things my doctor mentioned is that Adult Men with Autism (me) are at a much higher risk for Depression.

I made this thread for two reasons:

  1. How many of you are in the same boat? I'm not medicated yet, but I'll be having a meeting with my GP today to discuss options. I'm curious what other's experiences have been like. What medications worked for you? Which ones were awful?

  2. Awareness. I have a feeling this is known to most of you, but if you're struggling and haven't considered that Depression may be at play, it's something to consider. I wasn't suicidal, but was getting close. I don't want to see any of you go through that, or worse.

http://mlmym.org is a custom frontend for Lemmy. It mimics the Old Reddit style, and works on any existing lemmy instance. You can sign in to your account, and make posts. In fact, I've made this one from it!

I'm curious what Amp Simulators y'all enjoy and recommend.

I've been using GK Amplification 3 Pro from Audified, specifically the 800RB.

One of the screws holding the spring block on my guitar has become stripped. I've tried looking online for the specific size I need for a replacement, but haven't turned up anything specific.

Is there a specific size I need, or will any screw that fits work? Should I replace both to make sure they're the same?

Guitar is a LTD MH-100 if it matters.

What was everyone's first book set in the Cosmere? I started with The Way of Kings shortly after it was released, but immediately gobbled up everything else.
