He’s on a tablet, though, so you have to push on it a few times.

One thing I’ve heard is that once he’s sentenced he’s a felon, which means businesses he owns in certain states can so longer sell alcohol since it’s owned by a felon. I believe Florida is one of those.

What added the “0+ people”? The rest is Apple intelligence, so is that off a dev beta or is that the actual subject?

“Obscure”? It’s the freaking Outer Limits.

Better Off Dead. One of the most quotable movies.

“I can’t feel my face”

“I want my two dollars”

“It’s a shame when folks be throwing out a perfectly good white boy like that”

“He put he testicles all over me” “tentacles… there’s a difference”

Don’t do it with avocados. They don’t produce trees like the tree that created them. So after X years, it could start producing, and they taste like crap. That’s why Haas avocados are all from graftings of the original tree, so they know the avocados will be good.

There’s a TPM article posted a couple of days with parts of his manifesto, which included a “purge” of democrats in DC. Terrorist-level shit.

I love that tagline, definitely reminiscent of “Have Gun, Will Travel”

First one I’ve ever seen in this neighborhood!

$3 million and only $5k/month in HOA fees, it’s like it’s free! /s

Nice selection

Only a couple post-rock albums for me. But good on GIAA for releasing an album today! Including the others because hey, isn’t the old saying “math rock is just post rock with more Tapping?“

shikimi by te' (math)

Embers by GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT

Mantles by Layers in Lairs (math, asiwyfa/battles is my reference)

Girlfriends by Girlfriends (tappy math)

Star Showers On The Euphrates by *Ancients (so good)

Rosewood by Kaguu

I’m fortunate enough to be able to support bands by buying their albums. Especially today, when Bandcamp doesn’t take a cut. Here’s my Math rock portion.

shikimi by te' - Japanese instrumental post/Math Rock. Busy and fun. More on the rock side of things.

Mantles by Layers in Lairs - like Battles and ASIWYFA had a kid. Bearcubbin-related, another new band to me.

Girlfriends by Girlfriends - came really recommended. Tappy goodness. Alas, a one-shot.

Rosewood by Kaguu - Math/Prog EP that’s upbeat and whimsical.

No idea what the story is with this band, but was listening to it this morning and thought I’d share. Hopefully this one’s better some of you to also share.

Didn’t expect to ever see these guys on tour, but they have a handful of dates here. And yes, the name is a play on American Football

And Abelia (Dallas support) is great, saw them at Plus Fest. Looks like the support bands are local to their area

Title undersells it. There's an actual festival in the Netherlands this weekend, celebrating Pelagic Records bands. So there are performances by ASIWYFA (playing the entire new album), Oh Hiroshima, The Ocean (playing the entirety of Pelagic) and a ton more. Free livestream, here's Saturday's video.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNKIcVHQ56M.

Sunday has The Ocean again, but also Ihsahn. I'm psyched to see Spurv, Briqueville, and EF. Tell your post-rock/post-metal/math-rock friends!

Parts remind me of Battles, but also Zefs Chasing Cara. Electronic-twinged math-rock.

I was browsing new communities and came across [email protected].

I mentioned that there was one already, this one. At some point kbin.social died. If nothing else, this new one will have at least a couple people posting.

Full message I got: Yeah, there’s an issue with how communities are federated. If the host instance goes down, there’s nothing which reflects when viewing the community from a remote instance. Local users can continue posting, blissfully unaware that their posts aren’t being federated.

If you can still see your local lemmy.world version of [email protected], you might want to make one final post there directing any lemmy.world users to the new [email protected].

Math/pop - Orchards (orchardslive.bandcamp.com)

twinkly math-pop with vocals. Guitar effects sometimes remind me of ASIWYFA. Surprisingly nice.

I have no idea why this is in my library, but I came across it trying to figure out which artists I listened to qualified as math rock, and these guys sound like a combination of Battles and Legos, at least this track does.

Saw this band at plus fest in Denton this past weekend. Very impressed with them. Hope y’all dig this!
