Oh my god, I was at probably 50 WPM on that thing, I would write whole emails without looking down at it. It was glorious. I live (sic) the iPhone, don’t get me wrong, but that keyboard was amazing.

Beta? Could it be making a chart from the data provided? How did you get it to provide that? Screenshot of data then clicking the 3 lines? That could be freaking cool if you’re asking for it.

As a “filthy casual” this was interesting. Never heard of him, curious what makes it “Hard Bop” as opposed to “Bop”, and if I like this what else should I try?

God yes. Did 1 cruise and literally saw the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, Michelangelo’s David, walked around in Pompeii, scaled a volcano, saw where the Olympics started, the Parthenon, amazing art (Birth of Venus just to name another), incredible food, incredible people. Spent months planning it, ton of pics, and now make some “new” dishes all the time.

OP: meds and a therapist. Meds to fix the chemistry, therapist to teach you how to live life happily.

I wish that there was some sort of equivalent of Reddit gold… That is a fantastic comment, with a ton of useful advice. OP cooks his own food, a better way to find new food and things you’ve never come across otherwise, is by traveling. It really does broaden the mind, gives you a better perspective on things,… But Mr. ININ, I hope the best for you. You did some awesome stuff and can’t anymore. I feel your pain.

Op: see the world. Get the shittiest inside cabin you can on a cruise ship that goes to a bunch of different countries. Think of it like a sampler pack of that part of the world. If you see something that strikes you fancy, plan to go back. Plan all the things you want to do or see. Look on some guides online. If you don’t knowwhat to do with the money, you can’t take it with you, go do something with it.

Sorry. I’m a horrible person and see the worst. Rise above and make it awesome! (Just don’t call the mods the krewe or something. ;)

Not the greatest name, let’s be honest here. You’re one K away.

Now imagine what would happen if this had happened a year in the future… Everybody has new gigs, no intentions of coming back, and the institutional knowledge has been lost. Almost makes you think that these 2 presidents might be traitors

Technically not the most representative track of the genre, but exceedingly listenable and you get some idea of what the rough vocals that are normally in blackgaze sound like. If you like the contrast, then blackgaze is definitely for you. If you prefer clean vocals, there are bands such as Astronoid That only have clean vocals.

Overall, blackgaze is the intersection between black metal which has heavy/fast drums and screamed vocals, With Shoegaze, which is a warm tone, lots of effects, my bloody valentine being the most recognizable example.

TIL! Thanks! I’ve wondered why the F there are zero posts. That said, I’m on Lemmy.world and not constantly on my phone, so that’s not a good sign.

Just wondering what people thought the great reunion/comeback albums were from Maxophone, Il Roverscio Della Medaglia, PFM, Banco, etc etc.

No, I don’t know what the story behind that is.

Got this photo from my phone from the street. He was loud, hooted every 20-30 seconds. Really cool!

Went to IKEA the other day and came across these stuffed animals/hand puppets based off the Snowy Owl. Very soft and pretty darn cute

Don’t sleep on these guys. Holy hell. They just did a metal/rock version of ‘Ode to Joy’. Math rock/prog rock - love it!

I’m going to post several photos tonight - local awesomeness Plus Fest took Floral’s tour stop in DFW and added several bands to it - Friend Operation, Abelia (now defunct?), Johann (Japan), and Rob Ford Explorer.

This is Abelia, (formerly?) out of Dallas. Midwest emo with some (post?)-hardcore (one clean singer, one screamo), but a ton of bits people here would like - crazy tapping, bits that sound like ASIWYFA or Vasa. But one of the guitarists has said several times they’re no longer a band so… I don’t know.

No idea if they have any newer albums. Found this on Bandcamp. https://abeliaband.bandcamp.com/album/kalamari

And a link to this band, Friend Operation (file under Midwest emo, I’d think): https://friendoperation.bandcamp.com/album/irrelevant

I played this during one of the NextFests, and I’m psyched that it’s almost out. Think of Slay The Spire, but with Lovecraft.

Euphoric black metal from Iran.

Awesome show in Dallas tonight . Packed, too! Good for them, go see them!

No affiliation, just following them on Bandcamp and saw this, this morning. A little harsher than their self-titled.
