I pay 150 a month for 20/10mbps (actual is more like 10/5) with a 1.5tb cap. I would stab a baby to get yours.

If you are really unlucky the number doubles so many time you end up tied on the tracks.

This is where I am at. Got a phone survey from comcast. Gave them 1 star on every category except how likely am I to continue to use comcast at which point I gave them a 10... because it's a monopoly and it's literally the only ISP in my area. I pay 150 dollars for 10mb/5mb service with a 3tb cap. If I go two blocks in any direction I can get 100mb/50mb for 40 bucks with no data cap. Even the exact same plan from comcast 2 blocks away is half the price with 8 times the speed and no cap.

Nice. It was inevitable. A general lemmy instance needs to protect itself.

Walmart has a policy where you are not allowed to accept tips. If you are caught you are fired. People try to tip all the time for the grocery delivery stuff and if they manage to get money into your hand or the delivery basket you have to inform a member of the management staff. Granted this might not be true at every location but it is part of the corporate training you have to do if you work there longer than 4 months.

Think of it as a representation of how much energy is needed for orbits. To get to the moon you need about 1.7 km/s of delta v. To get to sun you need 30 km/s of delta v. To escape our solar system you only need 18 km/s of delta v.

Think of it this way. The earth is moving horizontally to the sun at 29.78 km/s (107,200 km/hr). In order to hit the sun you have to cancel all of that movement otherwise You'll miss the sun and enter a new elliptical orbit.

and then those same people who want it banned close their curtains and start watching it.
