He's shown a high degree of planning so far. Bringing a decoy bag and being casual in front of CCTV in not-his-clothes seems on the money at the moment. As soon as I heard he made a beeline for central park I bet he has a change of outfit and strolled out looking totally different. Sure enough they've found a bag in the park they think was his. He's 2 to 3 steps ahead of them..

Octoparse has a free tier and a Google scholar template. No idea about other sources. Ultimately Google scholar / research gate etc don't provide their own RSS feeds so any solution you use is going to involve someone tweaking a scraping template over time to keep up with changes to the source websites. = Cost.
I used to just use email notifications instead and had a filter for these in my inbox which had the same effect as an RSS feed...
