and to think I took it for granite.

The lives of a (relative) few American women who miscarry, a few depressed American TGs committing suicide, and several American teens who die in school shootings are worth more than 40 000 Gazan lives—but again, voting for Stein is a vote for Trump because the margins are thin—way too thin—because Biden, Harris, Walz, and company couldn't widen them enough in a few months—or a few years in the case of Biden and Harris—to allow for people to vote their hearts.
In 1980 John Anderson got a bit over 5.7 million votes or a bit over 6.6% but a bit over half the popular vote still went to Reagan—and let's not talk about California where if 2.5 million who voted for Biden instead voted for Trump, or if 5 million of them voted 3rd parties, the state would still remain blue—if you are Californian you should still vote for Harris—because something-something vote-splitting something-something-not-gonna-win something-something non-career-politician-is-a-grifter.
Personally, if I was American I wouldn't vote for either Stein or West because both are too close to Putin, but FFS, the arguments by the Democrats, and occasionally Republicans, against voting 3rd parties are stupid.

If Harris is elected, I suppose she won't make great compromises on her promises, and perhaps she intends to do something major about Gaza, but isn't saying anything before 5 November as to not frighten the moderates, centrists, and Israel-sympathizers—maybe.
