I recently made the switch and it's great. Definitely takes a bit of understanding and research to know what you're getting into, though.

It wasn't a Verizon deal, just third party refurbished. Maybe low likelihood to not be a Verizon model, but it's not locked to Verizon anymore.

It's just frustrating because of how good the deal was. I'm really considering it though.

I am on Verizon. I don't know enough about mmwave to know if I should care, honestly.

I agree this really seems like it should be dead center in the conversation. It clearly demonstrates just how massively reddit is messing up. Right before leaving last week I saw tons of people upset and disgusted when they realized these repercussions. I don't know if that sentiment has continued over there.
