Should I keep oem-locked pixel or buy from Google? (self.googlepixel)

I was lucky enough to get a like-new pixel 7 at a good price. It's in great condition, but it turns out to be an "unlocked" Verizon variant.

Originally I wanted to try out GrapheneOS, and now I'm wondering if it would make sense to keep it anyway. I'd like to degoogle completely, but is it worth a couple hundred extra for a guaranteed oem unlock?

Are you still using verizon? I'm not super confident about this but I think the Verizon variant came with the mmwave radios that Verizon uses for some of it's 5g.

Personally I'd save the $$$ and think about buying a true unlocked when it comes time to upgrade

I am on Verizon. I don't know enough about mmwave to know if I should care, honestly.
