I can't imagine how much hassle it would be to make an entire shirt of 3d printed chainmail

I actually got everything you see here off medievalcollectibles.com. it's all been modified by me.

It's all steel.

I painted and weathered the armor using this technique that I learned from a friend.

They can lick my metal balls. Don't need no organization.

I would. I have a maille hauberk I used to wear with my crusader armor. Unfortunately due to a couple back injuries I got at work, I can't really wear that anymore. so my current kit I am going a lot lighter.

Thanks! Can't wait until I can paint my new helmet too. Gotta wait until I am done with the last few modifications though.

That's actually where I learned some of my process as well as my friend who showed me how to do this.

Honestly looking at it in person it looks so much better than this image.

I am definitely going to darken the low spots to make the relief show up better.

This is another great helm I got from a friend a while ago. I painted it and instead of painting the weathering, I weathered it by beating the abaokute shit out of it. Due to the cheap nature of this helm, it had the wrong shape to it. Instead of tapering, it was completely flat on the bottom making it sit almost down to the shoulders if you lined the occularium up with your eyes.

Also, the way it was shaped, the opening tapered narrower than it should be, and putting it on with an arming cap and maille coif was nearly impossible and had to be forced on.

So I had to cut a portion of the bottom off at a taper, and now it fits great with the padded and maille coif.

So we used too much linseed oil, so we had to burn it off so we could recoat it with a lighter gunoil.

Mega Man 8 has easily my all time favorite video game music. Nearly every track is good! Will post more if people want.

Is there a simple app that can transfer everything easily? Like my favorites, browsing history and everything, including autofill setting and whatnot? I really just don't want to redo everything and essentially start fresh.

Edit*

Thank you everyone! I've used chrome for so long and the last time I tried fire fox over 13 years ago it didn't auto transfer anything, so I had no idea. And I will look into a 3rd party for password storage.

I'm not super savy with some things, so I don't really know what you mean by "self hosting" but I guess I'll look into that too.

Again thanks! Looks like I will make the switch!

Little montage of me in my armor failing at workout equipment at my local park.

The crown is a 3D printed replica of the crown from the movie The Green Knight, starring Dev Patel as Sir Gawain. Absolutely loved the costume design in that movie. Incorporating the halos depicted around royalty in illuminated manuscripts and other artworks into the crowns themselves to infer divinity was just so fucking cool to me. I loved the idea of turning it on its head and making an undead king.

I'll be weathering the skull mask with a lot of dark greys and blacks, and the crown to be very similar to the tarnished and corroded crown seen in the film.

This crown is a 3D printed replica of the crowns seen in the movie The Green Knight. I am going to be painting it and weathering it for use for my undead king halloween costume. I also need to weather the skull mask.

Another picture from our trip to NY. We stayed in Ellicottville with a family friend for the majority of our trip. Absolutely beautiful town. This church was so cool looking. Was really surprised to see that it was made of wood and not white wahsed stone/brick.

My wife and I took a vacation to my home state of NY back in October. While visiting we drove through Letchworth and walked around taking in the sights. I have plenty more pictures to share from our trip, even went on a tour of the Mt. Morris dam. Which was very cool and I have pics from that as well.

My wife picked these in a little park in my hometown of Groveland NY. I was visiting my home town after years away back in October. Have a lot more pics from our trip that I will share.
