Washington Post still thinks "Democracy Dies In Darkness," but announces new mission The Post is focused on "Riveting Storytelling for All of America."

Bruh, so "no longer about the news" is what that sounds like to me. The paper was already dying to begin with dude, you didn't have to put a bullet in it.

I'd imagine the EU has at least as good if not better protections than the US for consumers but I hope you get your money back man.

Its not just about the money, its about the principal. Microsoft can afford to give you back 12 euros.

And now writing that out i realize i should have caught you were in the EU lol

Yea this isnt legal if you never got the product. That would be a scam.

If you're in the US I'm sure the BBB and or FTC as well as your attorney general would love to hear all about how they never gave money back for a product you never got.

Only real use ive found for an old android phone was using it as a backup alarm clock. Surprisingly kind of hard to find alarm clocks that are as good as ones on a phone.

Another good use could be gaming handheld for emulators.

Emergency backup phone thats charged up in your car? Idk dude with the way phones are locked down and the difference across them, hard to really have any use afted security updates end uness you wanna patch your own kernal.

Control was such a cool game. It was wild from start to finish. Its certainly not perfect but man was it fun, which is all that i really care about.

I agree, this community is very cozy feeling. It feels like having a conversation with my Dad about working on fixing things or just old stories.

Ah yea i see how that would be an issue. Someone else in this post made a comment about switching meds. Might be worth talking to your doc about it.

That said, its not uncommon for those of us with adhd to try to find dopamine when doing things we dont wanna do. Sometimes having a video on in the background can help and distract your brain a bit. The key is finding something that doesnt distract you too much.

Stuff you watched before can be good.

As someone with ADHD and who also works from home 4 days a week, alarms are your friend. I have specific alarms set for tasks i need to get done every day aside from my main duties.

Depending on your job, setting up automations can also help. Anything to make your life easier will give your brain more bandwidth which ive found helps me focus better. For me, i have a script that automatically refreshes a webpage that i need to monitor all the time. I always keep this tab separate so that when it does refresh, i almost always notice.

Me personally, i like maptool. You can self host it and make a server for everyone to join.

Its not the prettiest or the absolute easiest to use when you first open it up, but you might give it a chance if you like open source projects and the privacy that comes with self hosting:

You can make maps, place tokens, write custom scripts for functions, and a whole lot of other cool stuff.

For HBO, I dont think so.

And thinking about it now, i was watching Netflix with my GF the other day at my place using her account, didn't look like 480p at least. That said, hard for me to tell since my internet rn is limited and i stream most things at 480p, sometimes 720p if its a good day.

I'm probably not the best barometer for stream quality give my situation. Atm I'm just glad it works.

I'm using firefox with drm content turned on and thats all I've done.

Howdy all, so I've been looking to buy a 3D printer for a while now and now that I've got some money for it, ive been looking at the Ender 3 V3 SE as it seems to be a good sub $300 printer from the reviews.

However, I've heard that there were some bed leveling issues with it after a firmware update and I've been trying to find information if this has beem fixed or not yet.

So to anyone that has an Ender 3 V3 SE, has this been resolved? Is it ongoing? If it is, I'll likely buy something else as I'm just getting into 3D printing and I'd rather not tinker with it a ton.

I control my media pc running Popos with a remote mouse/keyboard combo I found on Amazon and while this works pretty good, I would like a more "big picture mode" like experience that works well with using a remote.

I know theres some distros out there that are geared specifically for a media pc but I don't wanna reinstall my system. My internet is painfully slow at times and drops out frequently (yay for rural America) so even doing system updates can take a long time or just time out. I'd rather not babysit my pc to get everything working again how i want it so if I could find just a desktop environment to use that would be great. If not, such is life.

So far, Plasma bigscreen looked the most promising: https://plasma-bigscreen.org/ but any recommendations would be helpful. I've tried looking some up myself but searching the web has become pretty useless for something more niche or specific like this and I figure the good people on here would have better advice anyways.
