Wasn't a fan of mint when I tried it. IMO, I found popOS to be an overall better experience when I first started using Linux and have since switched back to it after having a few issues on Fedora.

You might give that a shot especially if you are using nivida. PopOS hasn't given me much grief (aside from Gnome but that's more a personal distaste for it)

Even after being on Linux for a year and considering myself a fairly capable guy in tech, Linux is kind of a pain in the ass if you're doing more complicated things like in my case music production.

But it sounds like you've had an even worse go doing normal things which sucks. I feel for you man. I hope your next go is better.

It took me a few tries and Windows being a privacy nightmare to switch. It can be done but it wasn't (and still isnt) easy.

I typically buy parts and peripherals from Amazon. Newegg can be good for the mail in rebates or discounts that you can get.

I typically don't shop at bestbuy unless I have to but I also live 20 minutes outside of town where I am so thats 40 minutes of driving that I don't wanna do typically.

Keychron was my last keyboard purchase, very happy with it. Full size mechanical keyboard, replaceable switches, so heavy I could probably kill someone with it, good keyboard.

Edit: I'm in the US so didn't think of micro center off the bat, but great option if you have access.

He is an absolute menace for me since I work from home most of the week. He's my little guy and as annoying as he can be, I wouldn't want it any other way.

And yes I constantly annoy him with squishing his face, pinching his cheeks, picking him up which he does not like but tolerates for 10 seconds, and playing hitting him which he loves because he's a sadist and just likes being touched in almost any way.

Most of the time, he's right next to me if not near me.

Right now, he believes it is cuddle time:

Same here, I prefer KDE, but popos has been my daily driver for a while now just for compatibility and ease of use.

Very excited for cosmic as in not a fan of gnome.

I love this idea, because I often have questions like this as I transition away from proprietary software to open source alternatives

I think listing what software equivalents it might replace listed in the card.

I do see its listed when you click on the info card in the main list, but having it be visible before that might be helpful.

I know a lot of people won't like the little ad cards when you do click on a software to review its page, but I think the way you implementted it is good. Its not intrusive and clearly states its an ad.

Edit: removed bit about categories.

Washington Post still thinks "Democracy Dies In Darkness," but announces new mission The Post is focused on "Riveting Storytelling for All of America."

Bruh, so "no longer about the news" is what that sounds like to me. The paper was already dying to begin with dude, you didn't have to put a bullet in it.

I'd imagine the EU has at least as good if not better protections than the US for consumers but I hope you get your money back man.

Its not just about the money, its about the principal. Microsoft can afford to give you back 12 euros.

And now writing that out i realize i should have caught you were in the EU lol

Yea this isnt legal if you never got the product. That would be a scam.

If you're in the US I'm sure the BBB and or FTC as well as your attorney general would love to hear all about how they never gave money back for a product you never got.

Only real use ive found for an old android phone was using it as a backup alarm clock. Surprisingly kind of hard to find alarm clocks that are as good as ones on a phone.

Another good use could be gaming handheld for emulators.

Emergency backup phone thats charged up in your car? Idk dude with the way phones are locked down and the difference across them, hard to really have any use afted security updates end uness you wanna patch your own kernal.

Control was such a cool game. It was wild from start to finish. Its certainly not perfect but man was it fun, which is all that i really care about.

Howdy all, so I've been looking to buy a 3D printer for a while now and now that I've got some money for it, ive been looking at the Ender 3 V3 SE as it seems to be a good sub $300 printer from the reviews.

However, I've heard that there were some bed leveling issues with it after a firmware update and I've been trying to find information if this has beem fixed or not yet.

So to anyone that has an Ender 3 V3 SE, has this been resolved? Is it ongoing? If it is, I'll likely buy something else as I'm just getting into 3D printing and I'd rather not tinker with it a ton.

I control my media pc running Popos with a remote mouse/keyboard combo I found on Amazon and while this works pretty good, I would like a more "big picture mode" like experience that works well with using a remote.

I know theres some distros out there that are geared specifically for a media pc but I don't wanna reinstall my system. My internet is painfully slow at times and drops out frequently (yay for rural America) so even doing system updates can take a long time or just time out. I'd rather not babysit my pc to get everything working again how i want it so if I could find just a desktop environment to use that would be great. If not, such is life.

So far, Plasma bigscreen looked the most promising: https://plasma-bigscreen.org/ but any recommendations would be helpful. I've tried looking some up myself but searching the web has become pretty useless for something more niche or specific like this and I figure the good people on here would have better advice anyways.
