It went pretty well, we are now established on [email protected], the activity level seems similar. If we lost people in the process, they were probably not using Lemmy that much anymore, and where probably "ghost subscribers" of the previous community.

By the way, feel to have a look at [email protected], you seem to be an active poster, it would be nice to have your opinion on a few topics

I just had a look, unfortunately aussie.zone isn't federating the community yet, but you can have a look at the discussions here: https://lemm.ee/c/fedigrow

Hello,

FYI, this community will be locked tomorrow, feel free to recreate this post on the new community [email protected]. Of course, you don't have too if you think the topic has been discussed enough.

Basically, create a new one one the new instance, and tell everyone to move there.

Posts will be kept on the old community, but due to the nature of this community, it shouldn't be an issue. People are mostly busy with current topics, I don't really see people coming back often to old posts about what everyone was doing on their week-end a few months ago.

I would like to move the !casualconversation community to another instance (detail in comments)

Hello everyone,

I am one of the moderators of [email protected]. We use a bot relying on https://schedule.lemmings.world/ to create a post every day automatically.

I know that some users block bots because they consider them annoying, be it repost posts or features bots such as tldr or piped. Having the bot labelled as such prevents the daily threads from being viewed by users who might be interested.

I had that reasoning in the past, but had the bot banned for not complying with the instance guidelines.

I thus open this thread to see what could be done to solve this issue. Could there be exceptions to the bot labelling guidelines in this kind of cases?

Hello,

Thank you for creating this community.

Is there any reason to not post to [email protected] or [email protected] ?

I don't see it up yet so I'll post it just in case, here's this week's list!

Looks like I'm getting

Coda Vol. 2 #2 - Vol 1 and 2/1 were great, really excited for this one.

Hexagon Bridge #2 - Issue one was ok, not sure about it just yet but I'll give it a few more issues

Pink elephant #3 - Reminds me of 80s slasher movies

Statics #2 -This one sounds right up my alley.

What're y'all getting?
