Vladimir Putin proposed offering the U.S. access to Russian rare minerals, including from Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine, in joint mining projects.

His offer follows U.S. pressure on Ukraine to grant mineral access in exchange for aid.

Putin dismissed concerns over a U.S.-Ukraine agreement, claiming Russia has far greater resources. He also suggested U.S.-Russia collaboration on aluminium production.

Ukraine continues separate negotiations with both the U.S. and the EU.
