As much as i love linux and bsd there will be those that are still pro windows. However if, when the direction microsoft takes is running things in the cloud fully, then that will be a huge problem for those that want to stay in the windows ecosystem but run things locally. This project can definitley take care of those that do not wish linux/BSD and be able to run programs especially since a lot of mainstream programs are windows/mac only. I think wether its bsd/linux/react os. Open source defintley makes it easier to improve things long term.

It has been almost two years since the last ReactOS newsletter. Despite no new releases, the project is still active. Much work has been done on different parts of the operating system, from improvements on the 64-bit port to protections against registry corruption.
