If that part of the hustle was wishing for a new trans am

What part of the hustle are you doing and what are your wishes/expectations for the new season?

Will it suck? Will it not?

What topics are you wanting them to cover? Crypto? Elon Husk and Twotter? Spaz and readdit?

I suspect we're all going to love it to death while watching it. Then we're all going to get together and talk about the little things we didn't like and why it wasn't as good as the original set, get each other all worked up about the inadequacies, lament and watch the old seasons and eventually come to grips that all we have is all we have, we'll watch the new episodes a few more times and fall in love with them too.

I wouldn't mind an anthology.

You must be from the future

Nah I'm just a sheep. I look back because I have a neck. Don't follow in my path, be a shark.

I am proud to be the shepherd of this herd of sharks!

I’d love to see them do a follow up to S4E1 “Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch”. It aired in 2003, Kif’s babies are supposed to mature in 20 years, new season in 2023. Perfect opportunity.

Children of a lesser bog

You may have called it

Judging by episode names they are hitting some current (ish) topics. whether they can do them well without it coming off as forced or too on-the-nose is yet to be seen.

I kinda want to see a return to the adventures and stories, not the social and political commentary they tried a few times and were a bit hit-and-miss...

Why would it return? It ended perfectly

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It ended perfectly. Then it ended poorly. Then it ended just OK. Then it ended perfectly again!

The final ending was like a big, floating ball that lit up with every color of the rainbow, plus some new ones that were so beautiful I fell to my knees and cried.

We all know the best shows get cancelled

Sometimes two or three times!

$. Plus, it's been awhile and the writers have loooots of material over the years to work with I'd think. Also sounds like the general cast/animators/writers have fun with making the show

It's a route with some chest hair!

Historically, Futurama dealt with gender and specifically trans issues quite poorly.Hopefully they have improved for this new season.

Originally I was annoyed at the display of this scene

But I decided later to take it as Zapp growing as a person, having learned he can develop feelings for "men" - even though it was just Leela, and in a confused sort of way opened up to dating trans-women. And he is legitimately confused about the surprise, knowing full well this is a trans-women - and not the harmful joke about her still having her body's birth genitalia.

But yeah, hopefully they do a little better with this season on that front and I don't have to rely on home brewed explanations anymore.

[–] linearchaos 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah between that and sexlexia, They could probably treat the whole situation better.

[–] Aliendelarge 4 points 2 years ago

Zapp was supposed to be a shitty person, the sexlexia claim of his was exactly in that character.
