It’s one of my all time favorite Prince videos. You can see people nonverbally asking him to stop soloing but he won’t. It’s amazing.
He just bided his time like he was just a normie for most of the song, then decided "Y'all had your turn, now it's mine"
I’ve never seen Prince once look like a normie but I hear you. He definitely builds beautifully. I love when he falls on the security guard and then…keeps going.
Dhani's reaction to it makes it even better
He is absolutely loving it
Those are eyes and nods of “you’re fucking rocking it keep going my dude” not requests to stop
I have seen this video literally hundreds of times and I still watch it every time it’s posted. Fucking awesome.
I feel that :)
What I really love is all those guys up there, known for being pretty damn good themselves, just grooving on him playing, when he's more known for his voice.
I'm compelled to drop everything I'm doing and watch this every time I see it linked.
Same. I've lost track of how many times I've watched this.
If there is a second coming in my lifetime this is it. It's breathtaking. Captivating. Awe inspiring. His guitar play is just...just...
Don't correct me if I'm wrong but this was his performance shortly after getting snubbed on Rolling Stones 100 best guitarists list, iirc.
I don't care if it's right, that is head cannon for me now too. (I know he got snubbed, just don't know if he cared)

Not many people can make a guitar truly sing like Prince does here.
