If the American voters didn't believe all bad things that happen in the country are directly caused by the current president, then this kind of thing would backfire.

The “smartest” thing those who desire to capture power ever did was convince people their president was an all-powerful king and then tell them to fight for their king to win

what if the people want to capture power, and not have a king?

When the people decide to vote consistently so the assholes who sabotage and shut down long-term projects every chance they get - and that would be republicans - don't get their sleazy paws on it.

But don't hold your breath. People are told that everything they want can be had in one election of a charismatic messiah with a magic political wand, and anybody who doesn't deliver short-term miracles navigating the political and bureaucratic maze is... well... bOtH pArTiEs ArE tHe SaMe LoL aMiRiTe.

Most Democrats actually care about the future, but to implement anything you have to deal with a rabid or opportunistic and parasitic republican who has one overriding goal: to make Democrats look bad. It's all a game to them, no shared goal - cheat, destroy, smear.

Democrats have a few bad apples that end up in the basket to gain a congressional majority- just look at Manchin and Synema, who comes from West Virginia and Arizona, in rabid maga country flawed politicians rise to the top.
But republicans... those fuckers put party and Fox News over country all the time.

Here's the kicker... the tactic of relentless opposition works. It's exhausting. Enough voters are going to fall for the cherry-picked, narratively-distorted, divide-and-conquer propaganda to NOT vote in the following election. Any progress gets dismantled, nothing moves forward.
