Servers seem to really struggle with the new influx of users (July 1st lol)

Otherwise maybe it's only on my end but I think not, anyone else?

Hope the devs get enough rest in these difficult times.

there'll be another version upgrade attempt later this day, hopefully it does help

Any way we can give support? Is there a donation page?

Yes, though it comes back from time to time.

The admin of lemm.ee improved his situation quite a lot, with some explanation here: https://lemm.ee/post/523075. I wonder if there are any low hanging fruit still left for lemmy.world

Do you know the famous reddit hug of death? That's what's happening today lol :D

Not just you. But who can be surprised? It seems to get better at times and worse at others. It’s a growing pain lol

Edit: yeah def having some weird issues now. Lots of duplicates posts from me. I’m using a third party app so perhaps that’s factoring in but the servers being hammered is def happening hardcore.

I think there is a lot of confusion about the federation system and lemmy and its relationship to mastodon and other communities, I wanted to post something on beehive..(something like that) and it was asking me to sign up on that one. Is there a way that users can use credentials that may work throughout the communities?

I think they are pushing an update today from 0.17 to 0.18. looks like the version number on the bottom of the screen is showing 0.18 now (was showing 0.17 this morning), Maybe Jerboa will work here again now.
