Maybe it's because it's

  • two of the best teams in the league,
  • who recently faced off in the Superbowl and may again this year, and
  • the Philadelphia fanbase is one of the most devoted to watching football, and
  • they were playing the winningest coach for both franchises, and
  • both quarterbacks are having yet another MVP-caliber season, and
  • because the Kelce brothers had a popular podcast well before either of them was involved with Swift

As an Eagles fan, I'm so over Taylor Swift's relationship status being a part of our broadcast. We would carve a bust of Jason Kelce into the Mount Rushmore of philly legends. The guy has played a thankless role in a decade of great football for the city. We could write epic poems to his deeds. He's been the perennial best center in the league for almost his entire career, and in what might be his last season as a player, all anyone wants to talk about is his brother's girlfriend.

I see your point, but at the same time that BBQ place's sign that said "Welcome Taylor's boyfriend's brother" was pretty fucking hilarious.

Taylor Swift wasn’t even there

Thank goodness. So sick of her being mentioned by the NFL every 5 seconds

Games are like 3 hours with only half an hour of actual football...

They need something to ramble about during those other 2.5 hours. If it wasn't Tay Tay, it would be something else.

ANYTHING else, please.

It brings in the non-football fans. Ratings go up.

Shut the fuck up about Taylor Swift already. (Not specifically aimed at you OP)

The Chiefs are 0-3 when Taylor is not at the game.

And it was a terrible game for the Chiefs. Multiple drops, including the one from MVS. Eagles were fine but not great either. Maybe was the weather what screwed everything up.

As a disappointed Chiefs fan, it was a great game. I don’t mind occasionally losing to great teams. It’s the losses to bad teams that hurt.

[–] Litany 2 points 1 year ago

Fellow Chiefs fan. This one did hurt because of the drops and other fundamental mistakes, we win the game if even one or two of those don't happen.

South America

She had a fan die in the heat. The venue would not let water in so they could sell their overpriced water. It was shoulder to shoulder. And they closed the venues ventilation shutters so fans outside could not hear.

So she delayed her next concert that was also in extreme Heat. So she was singing the make up concert instead of attending the game.

[–] Mediocre_Bard 1 points 1 year ago

Oh, damn. Well, that's good of her.

[–] xc2215x 2 points 1 year ago

It was the teams themselves.

[–] jenny_ball 1 points 1 year ago

but they thought she would be there
