I've got some points piled up on my Chase Freedom Unlimited account, and I'm scratching my head about the best way to use them - you know, to really get the most bang for my buck. I thought about using them for a hotel nearby, but it didn't seem to knock much off the price. Maybe I'm not doing it right? Any advice would be appreciated!

If you’re an apple person, I bought myself a new iPhone on points. That’s the best use I’ve found.

Great! I was actually considering getting an Apple TV. Now that you've mentioned it, I'll check out if I can snag one using my points. Thanks for the tip! :)

If you wait they periodically have bonuses where points are worth an extra 10% or so.

There are tons of guides out there. My favorite use to pair up the Freedom with the Sapphire card. You can then transfer points to a bunch of different travel partners. For example, Southwest. I paid for flights this summer using points. For hotels, Hyatt has the best redemption rates from my experience.

Save up your points and go see the world!
