Why not?
Because they can burn their fingers off. 7-year-olds aren't the most responsible of people.
I mean you obviously teach them? My mother had me start cooking when I was six, and I was independently cooking dinners by eight.

If it smells like pork, you're holding it wrong.
What bothers me even more about this photo is you can clearly see the black spots where she's holding from where it was heated up before. That alone should tell you not to hold that spot.
