I did something similar when I was like 7yrs old. Let me tell you, it was a quick lesson.
Who was letting you use a soldering iron at 7 years old?!
Why not?
Because they can burn their fingers off. 7-year-olds aren't the most responsible of people.
I mean you obviously teach them? My mother had me start cooking when I was six, and I was independently cooking dinners by eight.
