For anyone wondering I'm pretty sure this is the track they are talking about: Raphael's Final Act
Yep. This is the one.
Was certainly a good fight and good song, just wish it wasn’t such an easy fight. Honestly one of my only downsides to BG3 are that the boss fights are all rather straightforward and mostly not difficult.
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ACTS 2&3
Ketheric was cool, loved the multi-stage fight
Final boss has a gimmick many games use that I hate, if you’ve done this fight you know my gripe.
Orin was just a punching bag, killing the people giving her bonuses was easy with one party member while summons held her up and took the hits keeping my party safe
Gortash was so simple and easy I wonder if my game bugged, blow up the traps or throw the bombs they launch before they blow, no biggie. Beat the fuck out of him for 3-4 turns and he’s done.
Vampire dude was ok, not mad at that although the gimmick is split the party up to stand on the points while Karlach or whatever bruiser you have kicks ass.
Rafael was easy, break pillars, kick ass.
Adamantine was kinda fun, keep it in the lava by pulling its attention around, have Karlach smash it
And then there is me who sucks at this game but it's too much fun to put down. I struggle even in Explorer mode. The stories are great though. I've beat the game 3 times already and going for a 4th. Each time I've found so much new shit it's like a whole new game. Like with Orin, if you impress the Murder Tribunal as the Dark Urge you can fight her 1v1. My first character was a bard and I talked my way to victory on my first run which was hilarious since I didn't know what I was doing. Thank Larian devs for Karlach because she saved my bacon so many times.
The 2nd hag fight was the one that I struggled with most. Damn insect plagues everywhere kept wearing me down while I was trying to kill the mushrooms.
I think you missed what you're "supposed" to do in the Adamantine fight though. Lure him to the middle and smash him with the hammer. I actually used Karlach to beat him too, found out after just use the hammer.
Yea there’s an achievement for doing it without the hammer too, i didn’t even realize you could use the hammer, and after the fight I just think it’s unnecessary since it isn’t difficult without
Yeah, that's how I found out you were "supposed" to use the hammer. But that's what I love about this game, there's so many ways to go about completing things.
Wait what's the gimmick for vampire guy? I just drop a sunlight orb in the middle of the room, never talk to him, and he goes down kinda easy.
To take away the pretty decent buffs he gets you need to have your team stand on the channel circles the thrall sacrifices are near, then your characters will get a buff although not as good and the important part is pulling the buffs off of him.
I’ve also heard you can just push him off the edge to trigger him going into the coffin
They just buffed it a bunch in the latest patch.
Oh man I wish you put the spoiler warning before the title instead of after.
Switched it for anyone else coming in. Sorry if I spoiled anything for you.
I just did this fight. I knew of the song, I was looking forward to it.
There was no song 😞
I loved this fight! It was so hard! I had to use both Hope's and Shadowhearts divine interventions for healing and just crust it out.
