I think it's a known bug that will get fixed. I hit the button a few times and eventually it work to subscribe.

Does it actually not subscribe you? I was under the impression that it was just a visual glitch, and that you were actually subscribed under the hood.
May be more than just visual. Check out this thread on my home instance, from my end these replies don't even show up.
Yup, this thread doesn't show up in my own instance, even though it shows me as subscribed.
On the other hand, a comment of mine showed up in a community which still says pending. Over time these bugs will be ironed out we just gotta stay patient.
Yea, fair, I'm just wondering if it's like a.. bug bug, or if it's something to do with like, configuring the number of federation workers, or doing something in PostgreSQL, either on our end or on Lemmyworld's end.
Hmm, maybe it is just federation backlog, or something. This thread did start showing up here on my home instance, a few hours later. But at time of writing I don't see the other recent comments outside this thread. I wonder if it's expected that syncing is delayed between instances or something. But I notice the outgoing stuff I write from here shows up on Lemmyworld almost instantly, it seems to be the reverse that isn't true. Hmm.
I too am awaiting an answer to this. Is there an approval process to subscribe to some communities?
You're subscribed. It's just a glitch with the button.
