"Our patches? They've got skulls on them..."

[–] cybervseas 54 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Man why do they have to make these cringey symbols for units like these? This is space, we should have something cooler.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ope I see we have different tastes lmao

[–] cybervseas 19 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It probably speaks to the people that would want to join it. I'm not the target audience!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 years ago

And I'm definitely in. Checks out lol, I'm a geek.

Honestly, it looks like a gamer tag icon from back in the Halo 2 days lol

US Space Force: "Stop laughing, we really do have a purpose!"

Things could get interesting if they start competing with the Navy to be another taxi service for the Marines though.

[–] rockSlayer 30 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm willing to bet that the Navy will take over the task of commanding spaceships when we start with the space imperialism

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

At the very least, all their best officers will get transferred to space force. There isn't really any direct earthly parellel to space warfare and logistics, but naval warfare and logistics is as close as it gets

Submarines in particular: sealed system that moves in three dimensions.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah but Space Marines though.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit 2 points 2 years ago

Yes please.

"Fuck off, boot, the moon isn't even a real deployment!"

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That’s a cool logo. I wonder who designs them

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It was a missed opportunity to use a Terminator on the patch.

[–] RunningInRVA 3 points 2 years ago

Ya, instead we got Skeletor. Who would have thought?

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I really hope they don't act out on blowing up satellites. Kessler Syndrome will ruin any hopes of future space habitation and exploration for generations to come.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit 11 points 2 years ago

Could burn out their sensors, brick the hardware or otherwise make them useless without creating a new debris cloud.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 years ago

Possibly steal the satellites and deorbit them to avoid this.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

All thing aside, the logo goes hard fr

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Honestly thought it was clickhole content

[–] UnaSolaEstrellaLibre 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Will they take out their own satellites too? Since they spy on their own citizens...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago

Satellites aren't the spying medium I'm worried about
