This link showed up on the front page as a post about the search for the secret cow level, posted to the diablo community, but clicking it sometimes shows a post about The Mets and sometimes it's a post about dating advice in the phillipines community.

Note that URL in screenshot is the same as the link I posted, and the right column shows correct community info.

Reloading the page replaced the content with the correct post about diablo.

Yes, sometimes posts are mixed up with totally unrelated content.

As I understand it, it's a bug that happens when you have multiple browser tabs opened at the same time. Devs fixed it AFAIK but we have to wait for the next software release to see it solved.

I've also had it happen with only one tab loaded, so I'm not sure that it is related to having multiple tabs open (although it might be due to websockets again).

I've also had it happen with this page (https://lemmy.world/comment/376933). Refreshing also seemed to help.

It's probably not a coincidence that both are reporting the same page and contents, maybe there's a websocket mix-up happening somewhere?

Also having this issue sometimes, a refresh fixed it. Hopefully when the websocket removal goes through it may fix this
