If only Democrats would put the same effort into attacking Republicans as they do their own party.

Not that what Schumer did was good, but what Thune, McConnell, and Cotton do daily is an order of magnitude worse.

False equivalence and whataboutism. People already know the GOP are ogres. It's what they are, so why waste time trying to change that?

However, people still have some hope that the other side is salvageable, and that's why the Democrats police their own WAY better that the... well, the complete lack of such self-policing on the ogre side. Rational people don't choose to abandon accountability just because they see criminals getting away with shit everywhere they look.

The Democrats are, as a whole, a giant pile of shit, but that pile doesn't stink anywhere nearly as bad as the GOP. Horse manure vs raw human sewage.
