As i understand it, Ford tried to ally with trump multiple times, and only got punched in the face with bad deals for Canada for it. I vaugely recall the aluminum tariffs and covid response in first term finally sent him off.

As someone who would be absolutely greatly affected by this, especially right now with a giant winter storm headed in expecting 10-20 inches. I hope they do it today. Make it hurt, people need to be punched in the face with reality. Maybe that'll wake people from their walking fever dream.
