They can't have it both ways. Either Luxemburgish is its own language or it's a Mosel Frankish and therefore German dialect. They chose the former so it is decided.

Wouldn't including Belgium also mean including about half of Europe plus Namibia and Brazil? Like Italy has South Tyrol, Denmark has North Schleswig, Poland has Opole and so on

German is an official language for all of Belgium, in Italy it seems to be only South Tyrol

The flags are the ones of the countries where German is an official language

Belgium has a German speaking population of 80k people
