They're a group backed by gun manufacturers whose interests need to be represented with lobbyists and such
The problem with their rhetoric is how much of it can easily be appropriated by the Left (normal people).

We've definitely changed our tune slightly on guns and bought a few since November. You know, because of the implication.
Just be sure to practice a few times! Can improve massively even with a few sessions at a range.
