I guess they'll just have to deeply inspect every single piece of equipment now.

Would be a shame if some of those were also equipped with tamper-sensitive triggers...

I think everyone everywhere has been doing that since the Isreali pager situation

Have they tried to use them? I am sure once they try them out, they have nothing to complain about....

There might be some small scattered complaints here and there. And there. And there. And... Oh hey, a tooth. They probably didn't floss enough.

There is nothing like these goggles. They're simply mind blowing.

There's always an xkcd for that.

Damn what a shame. They were supposed to be on the face before they discovered that.

Translated from Ukrainian:

The Russians complain that they received ~~explosive pagers and~~ FPV goggles from their "volunteers". They say they found a plastid inside.

It's a shame they took them apart. It will be more interesting in the next installmentsπŸ˜‰

Their mistake for not specifying that they wanted non-booby-trapped FPV goggles.

I would, but Russia keeps claiming it's theirs.

This reminds me of the British SOE putting explosives in rats to be placed in coal, thinking the rat would get thrown into boilers with the coal. The Germans intercepted the first shipment, and then wasted time and energy on inspecting basically everything.

If I was a soldier I think I would now want to inspect and dissasemble everything I was asked to use as far as I could while being confident I could get it back together.

I believe those boobytrapped pagers that Israel used against Hamas were so well designed that X-rays of them didn’t show anything unusual. I think the explosives & detonator were incorporated into the rechargeable battery. A visual inspection likely wouldn’t have caught it either.

I wouldn't touch anything lol but you go ahead and disassemble all the stuff 😬

I mean if you don't they are going to require you to use it later. I mean I get it we would not be there and desert asap or what not.
