Metric conversion: 6-9 pounds is about 2.7kg - 4kg
I kind of want to know what the hell his meals look like to get through that much. We probably go through about 300g of butter a week, as a family of 4.

How did he eat hamburgers while avoiding bread?
I AM BUTTERMAN, spread the word!
told doctors he got diet advice from the internet
A genius at work, folks
As someone with some chronic health conditions and managing them with diet and exercise... I can tell you that the internet is a much better source of dietary advice than your GP or even a nutritionist in the vast majority of cases.
If you would like to read the actual case report: https://hackertalks.com/post/6269770
What is super interesting, is this person consumed 30,000 calories per day, and still lost weight. Admittedly they were eating way too much fat. But it's still interesting
I imagine with such a large amount of fat, most of it was sliding right through him - I'd not want to see the state of his toilet. He's probably solely responsible for the local fatberg.
The main thing to take away from the case study is really just that Xanthelasma exists and that you can get it with this kind of diet. That's more or less all the case study was saying
The rest of the case study isn't really anything to make much note of. The original case report does not quote a caloric figure. It is also relying on the patient stating that they were losing weight vs any actual measurements. If they were to be eating 30,000 kcal/day and losing weight, something has got to be absurdly wrong with their digestive system

I'm not a foodologist, but that seems like more than the usual amount.
Indeed, foodology is a under researched field, but for most people 2,500 is normal. Athletes can spike up to 10,000.
Dude is trying to turn himself into human Foie gras.
My eyes now want to punch my brain in the throat for being forced to read that.

Butterfingers!
6-9 lbs of butter per day?! Pretty sure I'd die from lactose intolerance.
I think it’s a collective 6-9 pounds of butter, cheese and hamburger meat, not 6-9 pounds of butter alone. But either way, nuts.
I’m definitely overweight but I’m not sure I eat 6-9 lbs of food on any given day!
Livin' the dream!
